Anatomical Pathology

Anatomic pathology is a diagnostic specialty of medicine that encompasses both macroscopic and microscopic examination of a disease process of body as a whole and individual organs utilizing knowledge of morphology, immunohistochemistry, biomarkers and molecular alteration at subcellular level. The primary role of anatomical pathology is to identify abnormalities than can help diagnose disease.
